Description
To remove gaps in the thread binding a burnishing tool is used. Using a rubbing motion it flattens the thread giving a shiny surface. This produces a better finish when the coating is applied.
Rounded corners ensure there are no sharp edges so you can easily apply significant pressure without risk of catching a thread. Slightly curved ends provide a good contact area to the thread producing a better finish.
